We offer three different options to clients when it comes telling your wedding story in a video format including:
Below are samples of all three followed by a Q and A area.
Traditional Hawaii wedding videography is what most people are thinking of when it comes to wedding videos. They include a beautifully edited video montage that highlights you wedding set to your favorite song as well as all real time footage with audio so you can share and relive every vow, toast and blessing spoken at your day. Below are two samples of video montages which are perfect for receptions, sharing with friends and family as well as keepsake. However, real time footage with audio will also be included on your final DVD.
Hawaii Wedding Fusion videos are a hot new trend that combines still photographs and short video clippettes that fuse together with a music overlay to tell your wedding ceremony story. Unlike traditional video, the video coverage is shot in a series of short 5-10 second bursts without audio and those short clips of video are then edited together with still images that highlight key points of the ceremony to tell a complete story. Fusion videos are a cost-effective, funky alternative to traditional wedding videos. They are perfect for brides and grooms who want something to show at their reception, share with others or have a nice keepsake of their wedding without the high cost of video.
Our dynamic Hawaii wedding slideshows arrange your still wedding photos in the perfect way to tell your story. While there is no video motion, the slideshow moves seamlessly with an appealing music overlay show casing key points of your day. It's the perfect way to share your story with friends and family back home, to showcase as receptions and have as a keepsake.
Q. Can I select the song?
A. With our traditional wedding video coverage you may select whatever song(s) you want because those are custom made from scratch. However, fusion videos and slideshows are made by a special software that has their own selections of songs. The photographer will select the song used for any of our fusion videos. However, if you don't like the song they select, you can have 1 free revision and request a song change at that time.
Q. Is their audio?
A. With our traditional wedding video coverage you have full audio and can hear your vows, people talking and more. We recommend that people who want great audio with their video to take a more traditional route. Fusion video clips are actually filmed without ever recording any audio so no audio will be included in the video but you will be able to see people moving, talking and kissing, just not hear them. Slideshows are only of still images so no audio with the slideshow either. However, for both the fusion and slideshow, a song is over-laying giving a nice presentation to both the eyes and ears.
Q. Is it online or DVD?
A. Traditional videos are not posted online but you will receive a DVD copy mailed to you. Our fusion videos and slideshows are online for a temporary amount of time so that you can share with friends and family for about a week or so. We also give you a DVD copy of both the fusion and slideshow.
Q. What are the costs?
A. Traditional video starts at $695 and up for an hour of coverage, editing, video montage and real time footage on DVD. Fusion videos start at $250 and up for an hour of coverage, editing, temporary online posting and DVD copy. Slideshows start at $100 and up and including editing, temporary online posting and DVD copy. As you can see, the rates differ greatly but so does what goes into making them as well as the final end product.
Q. What is the turnaround time?
A. Generally, traditional video turnaround time is 4-6 weeks. Fusion and slideshow turnaround time is generally 3-4 weeks. Keep in mind, each project has about 3 different people working on them at various stages so the initial editing of the video or still images. In addition, there are revision you may make, upload time and mail time. It may seem like a long time, but it will be worth the wait.
Q. Can we provide pictures of ourselves to use in it?
A. Yes. You may include a MAX of 10 images and all 10 images must be provided to us ON or BEFORE the wedding day. Images submitted after the wedding day will not be accepted. Images must not be taken by another professional photographer unless specific consent is provided by the photographer in writing. General printable rights and copyrights will not be accepted. The letter must specifically state that the photographer grants The Romance Specialists, LLC to use the images for the creation of the video or slideshow for profit, we are permitted to showcase online, in our portfolio and distribute to you for a fee and that no credit or compensation will be given to said photographer. About 80% of the time a photographer will say NO to this request so we strongly urge you to use non-professional images.
Q. Are there any restrictions?
A. In order to have fusion video or a slideshow you must already have purchased photography from us. You cannot have an outside photographer as we legally can't use their images to create the fusion video or slideshow. Also, fusion videos are not the same as professional video coverage. They do not include audio, are not as editable, don't include raw footage and are less customizable. It is important that clients understand that a fusion video is very different than traditional video coverage and should not expect the same results.
Q. My package includes a slideshow or fusion video. Can I upgrade?
A. Yes. You can upgrade for the following rates:
Slideshow upgraded to Fusion - $150
Slideshow upgraded to traditional video - $595
Fusion upgraded to traditional video - $450
