Clients will often ask "how is everything going to go once we arrive?" Below is the standard flow of events for a wedding ceremony. Your exact timeline may be different but this gives you a general idea of how the day will go.
Arrival - Coordinator and photographer to meet bridal party approximately 30 minutes prior to the ceremony at ceremony location. Whatever time is listed as your start time on your contract will be the meeting time. Please do not arrive too early and please don't be late.
Pre-Ceremony Meeting - Coordinator discusses the events of the day with bridal party and guests. After, we will distributes flowers. You will receive your leis, bouquets, and other flowers at this time.
Pre-Ceremony Photos - Bride to take a few posed photographs with photographer. If you are having professional video, groom to be hooked up to a microphone at this time.
Minister's Arrival - Minister* to arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to the ceremony time and discuss ceremony with couple if needed.
Final Ceremony Prep - Bridal party line up for processional and make announcement to guests that the ceremony will begin.
Processional - Bridal party entrance
Ceremony - Ceremony will take place and will last about 15 - 20 minutes. Generally the ceremony starts 30 minutes after arrival. For example, if you contract start time, arrival and meeting time is 11:00 then your ceremony is estimated to start at 11:30.
Recessional - Bridal party exit
Bride & Groom Moment to themselves - After the ceremony, we allot a small amount of time for the bride and groom to breath before the signing and guests congratulations.
Signing of the marriage license - (Minister* to depart after signing)
Congratulations - Informal Greeting/Receiving Line with guests to give hugs, kisses and congratulations.
Group photographs - The photographer will arrange a series of group photos with you and your guests.
Bride & Groom Photographs - For the couples photos, we whisk you away from your guests and do some romantic couples photos.
Reconcile - Before you leave, be sure to let us know any comments, questions or concerns you have. We want to ensure you leave feeling great about everything!
