Generous with Time?

You may notice we consistently state the phrase "generous with time." Having worked within the Hawaii weddings industry for many years we have seen our fair share of Hawaii wedding vendors who book back to back weddings down to the minute. We also have seen people who arrive the second the clock starts and leave the second it ends without so much as a hello or good-bye. However, the feedback from clients is that they did not appreciate their wedding being treated like a visit to a quickie-mart. They felt rushed, un-special and disrespected. Therefore, we require our vendors to be generous with their time to ensure the clients do feel special, relaxed and their event is being given the respect it deserves. We don't expect vendors to work for free. We understand that time is money. However, even if it is your 1,000+ wedding, it's still the bride and grooms first wedding. To them it is not business, it's personal. Sometimes, wedding vendors can forget that. We want to ensure that all our vendors schedule ample time, arrive early, introduce themselves to everyone, provide excellent services and products that are focused on the bride & grooms needs, when done answer any questions, give a proper farewell and then have a buffer of time after in case things start late. We expect people to be compassionate, positive, supportive and ready to handle the bumps in the road that can and will arrive when working with weddings. Yes, we expect all our vendors to be generous with time. If you are not generous with your time, we cannot trust you with our brides and grooms. No exceptions.
